About the Pastor … a child of God

Michael J. Tillman, Pastor-Teacher is the pastor of New Testament Baptist Church which is located at 3602 Green Street, Houston, Texas. 

Rev. Tillman is the second oldest and only son of four children born to Ms. Betty Jean Tillman and the late David Gaddy.

He was educated in the North Carolina school system (Anderson Middle High School, Parkland High School and Winston-Salem State University ). 

Rev. Tillman began to prepare himself for a more effective ministry. He attended Union Bible Seminary. He is currently attending Inner-Peace Theology Seminary.  He received his Certificate of Ordination on April 11, 2007 under Pastor M. R. Alex of Greater True Vine Baptist Church.  He received his Certificate of License from Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C on January 14, 1996 from Pastor E. K. Tillman.

In 1990, he receive his license upon delivering his first message to a massive congregation at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained by the Bishop Elmon Tillman at Pentcostal Temple Church of God in Chirst.

Rev. Tillman is in another year as the pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, a church with a vision and mission – a God Empowered Ministry doing God’s work with a spirit of excellence.
He is indeed a “true laborer of the Lord,” a visionary and servant-leader - Real talk to Empower believers to become Christ-Centered. It is through this ministry that he is able to Reach, Equip and Challenge believers with the Word of God.
He is married to Eunice Gilmore Tillman and has 2 daughters one son and 2 grand children.

Our Pastor is a gifted teacher and preacher. Each week he delivers a message that is based on sound Biblical principles. His Bible teaching is easy to understand and always contains practical applications for real-life circumstances. He also has a passion for working with people who are dealing with addictions. Pastor is a man who loves God and enjoys working with people.
